Who I am

I was born in Robertson in the wine-lands of the Cape Province, South Africa. My interest in Music, Textiles and Costume began at an early age. With aunts and uncles as opera singers and musicians, intrigue followed naturally.

In 1998 I was awarded South African Designer of the Year, SA Fashion Week. A placement at Chloe (Paris) followed under the helm of Stella McCartney and Phoebe Phyllo. In 2008 I set up my label, starting with ready-to-wear plus bespoke clients. The first Bridal collection was released in 2011.

Residing in London, I’ve spent many years honing my skills for my signature Womenswear (Ready-to-Wear and Bridal Couture in S.A. & London), and I have been part of some outstanding teams in British Fashion Heritage Brands as a freelance cutter and maker.

Since my move to London 20 years ago, I have explored more of costume in film.
I have a talent for pattern cutting and garment construction which has enabled me to work on many exciting productions in the film industry, as a Pattern Cutter and/or Bespoke Tailor. My forte is womenswear, but I am adept in menswear also.

I have a well equipped workroom/studio in East London where I work from, usually solo. But I also have skilled freelance machinists on call should they be required to adhere to workload or time frames.

I’m happy to join a production workroom based elsewhere in London, or can work from my space and attend fittings in my studio or travel to wherever I'm otherwise needed.

Clients I have dressed include Kate Moss, Gwen Stefani, Kylie, Naomi Harris, Sadie Frost, Kara Tointon, PJ Harvey, Kassidy, Jamelia, Gabriella Cilmi, Casey Spooner and Amber Heard.

Feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss a project.
